Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) Validation

Leading the Way in Climate Action with Approved Near-Term and Net-Zero Targets

We are proud to announce that our science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been officially validated and approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This validation confirms our commitment to ambitious climate action aligned with limiting global warming to 1.5°C, in line with the latest climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Near-Term Targets (by 2030)

Energy & Industry:

  • 50.4% reduction in absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from our 2018 baseline
  • 50.4% reduction in absolute scope 3 GHG emissions within the same timeframe

Forest, Land & Agriculture (FLAG):

  • 36.4% reduction in absolute scope 3 FLAG GHG emissions from our 2018 baseline
  • Zero deforestation commitment across our primary deforestation-linked commodities by December 31, 2025

Long-Term Net-Zero Commitment

Country Style commits to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2040, with long-term targets including:

  • 90% reduction in absolute scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 2040
  • 72% reduction in absolute scope 3 FLAG emissions by 2040
  • Maintaining these reduction levels through 2050

What This Means

The SBTi validation process ensures our targets are:

  • Science-based: Aligned with what climate science says is necessary to limit global warming to 1.5°C
  • Comprehensive: Covering our direct operations and entire value chain
  • Ambitious: Meeting the rigorous standards set by the SBTi Corporate Net Zero Standard

Our Commitment to Action

These targets represent more than commitments—they reflect our dedication to:

  • Environmental stewardship across our operations and supply chain

  • Industry leadership in climate action
  • Transparency in our climate progress and reporting
