Country Style has signed the ‘Sustainable Wheat Initiative Manifesto’, together with millers, cooperatives, suppliers and other value chain partners. The official moment took place at a Symposium on 6 June with 200 participants in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Our MD, Joe Wood, took part in a CEO panel at the event.

The Manifesto records that we are committed to reduce CO2 emissions from our wheat and our flour production by 30% by 2030.

The shared ambition of everyone taking part is to accelerate the shift to low-carbon, sustainable agriculture.

We believe that achieving low carbon wheat and wheat flour will require careful planning and collaboration across the entire wheat value chain. Through this joint effort, we are taking a step towards improving the sustainability of the production system.
